Season 23, Episode 7 of Top Chef continues in every kind of flavor in Charlotte.
 
First off there's a rocking chair intro from Kristen which leads us into our Cracker Barrel quickfire challenge with Guests from Bravo's Southern Charm, Madison LeCroy and Craig Conover.
It's country classics reimagined, or, something like that.  
Then the decadence is on full display when the giant dessert table gets rolled out and the chefs get to flex their sweet side.  Superfans get in on the action and get to act as judges and the varied baking skills are on full display.

Tonight on Top Chef "Goin' Whole Hog" we waste no time getting to the meaty elimination challenge; an all night session with whole hog barbecue.
We learn about regional North Carolina barbecue, Eastern meets Western, meet some barbecue legends and the crew really puts on a thorough feast for all that tests them on many new and exciting levels plus Sundi really knows a lot of what these people are talking about and that's very fun for her.  For real, we actually are great judges for this, based solely on where we're from so listen up, we're hilarious.

Chef Jim Smith of The Hummingbird Way and Top Chef seasons 14 and 15 joins Jeff and Sundi to trace his path from a Sonic car‑hop to Top Chef contestant and Alabama’s state executive chef. He gave us a lot of behind-the-scenes tea and valiated a few of Sundi's suspicisions from over the season.
