Vanderpump Rules S1 E9 Reunion

Sundi, Brooke and Jeff are joined by friend of the pod, bartender extraordinaire and and Vanderpump Rules enthusiast, Nolin. She made us a batch of Pumptinis to enjoy while we did our very first post-mortem of the season.

Things got a little hectic toward the end, so if you hear a toddler crying, a kitten meowing or a grown dog choking on the remains of a destroyed toy.... no you didn't.

Make sure to visit @takeapinotpod on Instagram for a few visual aids and email us at sundi@pinotpod.com  jeff@pinotpod.com or brooke@pinotpod.com

Also, leave us a review on Apple or where you listen so more folks can listen to us chat about these dummies.

If you haven't already, check out our mini-episode The Casting Couch, where we dream cast for a VPR movie and be on the look out for a mini-episode discussing Peter's movie, The Raivan Destiny, starring Tom Sandoval.

Pumptini Recipe

Watch Nolin double shake us up a round on Instagram, and then tag us in your Pumptini experience.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 raspberries (one for garnish)
  • ¾ oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz vodka
  • ¾ oz orange liqueur (Cointreau or Pavan work well)
  • ¾ oz grapefruit juice, fresh-squeezed
  • ¾ oz lime juice, fresh-squeezed
  • Ice
  • Sugar for rimming the glass (optional)

Instructions

  • Chill the glass: Place a martini glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes, or fill it with ice and water while you prepare the drink.
  • Rim the glass: If desired, take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of the chilled glass, then dip the rim in a shallow dish of sugar.
  • Muddle: In a cocktail shaker, add the raspberries and simple syrup. Muddle them together thoroughly to release the fruit's flavor.
  • Add liquids and ice: Pour in the vodka, orange liqueur, grapefruit juice, and lime juice. Fill the shaker with ice.
  • Shake: Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is very cold.
  • Strain and garnish: Strain the mixture into the prepared martini glass (a double strain can remove seeds if desired). Garnish with an extra raspberry or a grapefruit twist.
